Corrections Policy

337.NEWS will correct material factual errors when they are discovered.

Corrections may include inaccurate names, dates, figures, locations, descriptions, public-record interpretations, quotations, or other information that materially affects the accuracy of an article.

Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or style changes may be made without a correction notice when they do not change the substance of the article.

Material corrections should be noted within the article when appropriate.

If new information substantially changes the understanding of a story, 337.NEWS may update the article and identify the update.

Requests for corrections should include:

• the article title or URL
• the specific information believed to be incorrect
• the proposed correction
• supporting documentation or source material when available

Correction requests can be submitted through the Contact page.

A request for a correction does not guarantee that a change will be made. Published information will be evaluated against the available evidence.
